For Professionals

Tell me about yourself

I very much enjoy getting to know professionals in the community and learning about their work. To better serve my clients, I want to make sure I refer them to highly trained providers who best serve their needs.  Feel free to contact me and let me know what you do, where you are located, and more about your services.

I am eager to meet:

  • Physicians, nurses, and other health providers

  • Psychiatrists and psychiatric nurses

  • Psychologists and neuropsychologists

  • Marriage and family therapists, licensed mental health counselors, social workers, and other therapy providers

  • Physical or occupational therapists

  • Speech-language pathologists

  • Executive functioning coaches

  • Parent advocates

  • School personnel (teachers, counselors, administration, nurses, etc.)

  • Educational specialists

  • Rehabilitation specialists

Presentations and Workshops

I give talks on a wide range of topics tailored to families, health professionals, school personnel, mental health providers, researchers, or professionals in the justice system. Here are some of the topics on which I have presented:

  • ADHD and ADHD in girls

  • Aging well

  • Bullying

  • Effects of substance use across the lifespan

  • Effects of trauma

  • Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders

  • Identifying substance use in adolescents

  • School violence

  • Substance use in adolescents

  • Suicide risk and prevention

  • Various mental health conditions (e.g., mood disorders, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress, early-onset psychosis)

I also train professionals on a number of assessment measures (e.g., MMPI-3, MMPI-2-RF) and report writing.

Consultation

I provide formal or informal consultation to clinicians who are concerned their clients aren't getting better due to possible misdiagnosis or a "missing puzzle piece." I highly value multidisciplinary communication and enjoy meeting providers who do not specialize in assessment in order to help them understand the findings of a report or provide guidance about the type of testing their client needs.

I have experience providing ongoing consultation to assessment providers who wish to expand their skill sets to evaluate younger or older clients.
